Manga Research

Right now I'm having a large project in school. We're supposed to do a research article. And at the end it will be a official document. I'm studding media and communication, so it had to be something that fitted. The teacher told us to choose something in our interest to write/analyze about. So I asked:
"Is it possible to read/analyze manga for my document?"
And the answer was: Yes, it is (thank god)!

So I've got a month to do my research about:
Swedish published Manga within a gender perspective.

First I had to figure out how to do my text analyzis of manga. Then I created a protocol. This is what I fill in with text notes while I read the manga - which will analyzed. And the last thing will be to write an article.

So right now I'm reading manga the whole days, it's actually tiring, but very fun. But I have to work even during the Christmas as much as possible to be able to finish my work in time. At the university you never have vacations except at X-mas and summer. So it's a bit weird to have to work all the time, because I really want to make a good article about manga.

However, the cool thing is that I'll be one of the first to do this research of manga in my country. ^__^

Merry X-MAS!

Top List of PSP usage

Sony's PlayStation Portable is pretty cool. It looks awsome, the screen is lovely and it can be used for fun stuff. The only thing that I'm still missing is better games. The PSP have been released here in Sweden since 1 ½ year ago, and I'm still waiting. But I guess that won't be a problem when Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is released. However, here's my top-usage-list for my PSP.
  1. Listening to Music
  2. Playing Games
  3. Watching Anime
  4. Watching Pictures
  5. Surfing the web

Playing Phantasy Star Universe

I've bought myself a copy of the latest addition of the Phantasy Star series. I've only played the offline-mode so far. But here's my opinion.

STORY
Phantasy Star Online fairly had a story, but PSU finally have a great and cute story, with characters to care about. The story ain't deep as good like the latest Final Fantasy games, but I still like to know what happens next in every chapter of PSU.

GAME PLAY
I've bought the PC version and are playing with the keyboard. In the beginning it took some time to learn the controls, but after 10 hours of gaming, the control works very well. Everything that you had in PSO are now upgraded and improved for the PSU. A lot of cool weapons can be found or bought. And just the fact that you for an example can customize your hands with a gun and a sword makes the fighting a lot more fun. And it's easy and fast to switch between your weapons in a stressed combat.

PROBLEMS
But it haven't been a complete pleasure through the whole game. The Game Guard included for the game ain't always on your side. My computer ain't perfect either, so I've had some problems with the gaming speed and resolution.

SO... IS IT WORTH TO BUY?
Well... depends, of course. But did you like the PSO game, then you're going love this next installment. It's a lot about hack-an-slash, which is really fun in PSU.
